WSUS - Updates needing files Anybody else see this issue where one or two updates get "stuck" downloading. The update I am having trouble with is the latest CU (February) for Windows 10 v x · I notice today that the download status is: Updates needing files: 2. Downloaded 1, MB of 1, MB. I've done a few manual syncs and completely opened up the firewall but still the same message. I found in a previous discussion to run BITSADMIN /LIST /ALLUSERS /VERBOSE to find which files it is stuck on. This is the output. · There are 7 updates that supersede (, , , , , and ) So I manually downloaded and installed it on one PC. That triggered WSUS to download for that PC, but of course, it's stuck in the downloading state. Edited Dec 2, at AM.

Download Manager keeps track of pictures, documents, and other files you download from the web. Files you've downloaded are automatically saved in the Downloads folder. This folder is usually located on the drive where Windows is installed (for example, C:\users\your name\downloads).
To resolve the downloaded files status inconsistency. At the command line, browse to %drive%\Program Files\Update Services\Tools type: wsusutil reset. This will re-scan for files that require downloading. Configure Files and Languages: Go to "Option" and click on "Update Files and Languages" Select "Store update files locally on this server" in "Update Files” tab Select "Download Express installation files". Select “Download updates only in these languages” and select all required languages from the list. Configure Synchronization Schedule. In the Overview section, you will see a section called Download Status in where it lists how many update files are downloading, how much has been downloaded and how much in total that needs to be downloaded.
